The unisex eau de parfum Synthetic Jungle by Frederic Malle is a dynamic, stylish, and bold chypre fragrance launched in 2021. Created by perfumer Anne Flipo, this niche perfume offers a modern interpretation of nature, inspired by the iconic green scents of the 1970s. The fragrance combines lush green and floral notes, passing through a bright and sparkling filter. This balanced union creates a deep, clean, and sophisticated profile, making it an excellent choice for daily or evening wear by both men and women. Frederic Malle was born in Paris in 1962 into a family working in the perfume industry—his grandfather Serge Heftler founded Christian Dior Perfumes, and his mother later worked as an art director at the same perfume house. Frederic became familiar with the inner workings of the industry from an early age. Initially, he chose to study art history in New York, but in 1986 he changed course and accepted a position at the renowned perfume laboratory Roure Bertrand Dupont. At Roure, Frederic learned about raw materials, composition, and all aspects of perfume creation from some of the best professionals in the field. After working in the industry for more than 15 years, he was ready to embark on a new adventure. In 2000, using his connections and experience in the industry, he invited nine leading perfumers to create their own original perfumes with full creative freedom and no financial restrictions regarding ingredients or technologies. The end result was a stunning success, with the original perfumes now legendary in the industry, and the perfumers behind each creation finally receiving the recognition they deserved. Today, the brand has 68 perfumes, with the newest created in 2026. Fragrance composition: Top notes: galbanum, basil, and cassis; Heart notes: lily of the valley, hyacinth, jasmine, ylang-ylang, and almond; Base notes: oakmoss and patchouli. Usage instructions: Spray onto the skin from a distance of 15 cm. Focus on pulse points—wrists and the bends of elbows and knees—to maximize the fragrance. Avoid contact with eyes.
