The Kologne perfume water, Shield of Protection by the brand By Kilian, is a citrus unisex fragrance launched in 2022. Created by perfumer Calice Becker, it represents a modern interpretation of classic freshness. The founder Kilian Hennessy developed the formula over several years, inspired by the desire to return to the roots and meaning of the classic cologne. The perfume is conceived as a shield and protection that envelops the wearer with an aura of purity and vitality. By Kilian is a luxury perfume brand from Paris, created by Kilian Hennessy – grandson of the founder of the LVMH group (the H in LVMH stands for Hennessy, the famous cognac-producing family). He spent his childhood among the family wineries in Cognac. After completing a program in communications and linguistic studies, where he wrote a thesis on the semantics of scents in the search for a common language between gods and mortals, Kilian continued to study with some of the greatest noses in perfumery, perfecting his craft and creating perfumes for some of the best fashion brands in the industry. In 2007, he launched his own perfume house, in line with the family’s long tradition of producing luxury goods. The brand emphasizes ecology and sustainability through the use of refillable packaging. Fragrance composition: Top notes: green mandarin, bitter orange, mint, lime, and eucalyptus; Middle notes: rosemary, petitgrain, neroli, ginger, and galbanum; Base notes: cedar, green sap, cashmere wood, and musk. Usage instructions Spray onto the skin from a distance of 15 cm. Focus on pulse points – wrists and inner elbows – to maximize the fragrance. Avoid contact with eyes.
