1. Who we are
gen.ro is a price comparison service (Comparison Shopping Service, CSS) operated by BIGCONVERT SRL, a limited liability company registered in Romania, trade register no. J2024012355402, VAT ID 50267307, registered office Șoseaua Gheorghe Ionescu Șișești nr. 32, Sector 1, București, 013824, România. Contact: hello@bigconvert.com, +40 767 461 111. 2. What this site does
We collect product feeds from partner online stores and show the same product with the offers of every store that sells it: price, availability and, when the store publishes it, the shipping cost. When you choose an offer you are sent to the store's website, where the purchase, payment, delivery, returns and warranty are handled by that store under its own terms. BIGCONVERT SRL is not a party to the sale, holds no stock, processes no payments and handles no deliveries, returns or warranties.
3. Prices and product information
Names, descriptions, images, prices, discounts and availability come from the stores' product feeds and are refreshed at every import. Between two imports a store may change a price or run out of stock; the binding price is always the one shown on the store's website at the moment of the order. Price history charts and "price verdicts" are computed from the data we imported and are informational only.
4. Using the site
You may use the site for personal, non-commercial price comparison. You may not scrape, copy or redistribute the listings, overload the service with automated requests, or interfere with its operation. Price alerts are sent only to addresses confirmed by e-mail (double opt-in); every message carries a one-click unsubscribe link. We may suspend access that breaches these rules.
5. Third-party stores and links
Some "Buy" links are affiliate links: when you buy after clicking them the store may pay us a commission. This never changes the price you pay and never influences the order of the offers, which is always by total price with in-stock offers first. We are not responsible for the content, availability or practices of third-party websites.
6. Intellectual property
The site's design, code, texts and trade marks belong to BIGCONVERT SRL. Product names, descriptions, images and brands belong to the stores or the manufacturers and are shown for the sole purpose of identifying and comparing the offers. If you believe content infringes your rights, write to hello@bigconvert.com with the material concerned and proof of your rights; we review every notice and remove or amend the content without undue delay.
7. Liability
The service is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, BIGCONVERT SRL is not liable for indirect damage, lost profit or lost opportunities arising from the use of the site, from inaccurate data in a store's feed or from the temporary unavailability of the service. Nothing in these terms limits rights that consumers have under mandatory law in their country of residence.
8. Privacy and cookies
BIGCONVERT SRL is the controller of the data collected on this site under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR). We process: (a) technical data needed to serve the pages (IP address, browser, pages visited) kept in server logs for a limited time for security and statistics; (b) the e-mail address and optional target price you give us for a price alert, used only to send that alert until you unsubscribe; (c) click identifiers from advertising platforms (gclid, fbclid, msclkid) kept in a cookie for 90 days so that the store can attribute the visit; (d) a cookie remembering your chosen country/language. Usage measurement and advertising tags load only through a consent-managed tag container. You have the right to access, rectify, erase and port your data, to restrict or object to processing, and to lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority. 9. Consumer rights and complaints
Questions about an order (delivery, invoices, returns, warranty) must be addressed to the store you bought from; they hold your order data and are the seller. Complaints about this site can be sent to hello@bigconvert.com; we answer within 30 days. Consumers in the EU may also use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform (ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr).
10. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by Romanian law and EU law. Disputes go to the competent courts, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence.
11. Changes
We may update these terms; the current version is always published on this page with its date. Continued use of the site after a change means acceptance of the new terms.
